TASTING NOTE: This comes from vines that average 40 years of age. The fresh, lively character of the wine is preserved through the use of temperature-controlled concrete vats. The 2016 is lovely, with enticing floral notes and apple, pear, tropical and banana tones with a vanilla undertow. Rich and fruit-driven, this calls for lobster. (Vintages panel, April 2017) |
