CHARDONNAY 2015 Russian River Valley, Sonoma County
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FOLIE À DEUX
Bright medium straw colour. Intense, quite cedary, spicy, honeyed, baked apple-lemon nose. Slightly off dry, medium bodied, somewhat spicy, fairly intense, ripe lemon-apple flavours with a crisp, very cedary finish. Ready-to-drink. Has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L048710-6 on the back label. Very similar to the 2014 (*+/**) that was released on January 7, 2017 at $24.95. Perhaps this is why the Vintages Catalogue shows a review for the previous 2014 release by Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, June 1, 2016? At an attractive price, it's worth considering for midweek meals and larger gatherings. Score - 90 (Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, June 1, 2016) Price $ 24.95
