Bright pale orange-tinged salmon colour. Spicy, toasty, ripe apple-plum-lemon nose with lots of mineral notes. Has 12% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar with lot number L045300A 1000 7 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 90-points - Very pale ‘eye of the partridge’ colour; a nose of wild strawberries and chalk; medium-bodied, crisply dry with cranberry and pomegranate flavours; light on the palate and finishing firmly. TASTING NOTE: A rich year with low yields and a perfectly warm summer. The nose is all chalky, oyster shell and dried berries. Plenty of powerful wild red fruit. Super focused with a very crisp, linear, acid drive. Pink grapefruit to close. A great vintage for this rosé. Drink now or hold - this has the structure to support some ageing. Score - 95 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Oct. 4, 2017) |
