TASTING NOTE: The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru les Fourchaumes Vieilles Vignes has an impressive, mineral-driven bouquet that grows in stature in the glass. There is great precision here, scents of cold wet limestone and dew speckled Granny Smith apples. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, spicy in the mouth with a strong saline component. It finishes in a sappy style that gets the taste buds going, completing what is an excellent Chablis from Laroche. Drink Date: 2017-2027. Score - 92 (Neal Martin, robertparker.com, Aug. 30, 2016) |
