Deep purple colour. Very spicy, clove-tinged, baked cherry nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, bright, tangy, with tropical, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a gently cedary finish. Ready-to-drink. This blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Ruby Cabernet, 4% Zinfandel, 2% Rubired and 2% Petite Sirah has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. Get your calculator out: This Cabernet contains 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Ruby Cabernet (a cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan), 4% Zinfandel, 2% Rubired (a Californian hybrid based on Tinto Cão) and 2% Petite Sirah, sourced from prime sites in Lodi (62%), Clarksburg (28%) and Mendocino (10%).
