TASTING NOTE: Aged in large oak cask. Despite the difficult vintage conditions, this 2014 ripasso has emerged well, offering the typical range of tart red fruit flavours - cherry and currant - with intriguing resinous herbal spice, nutty chestnut, old wood, cedar and other non-fruit character that adds interest. Tannins are soft and the palate is surprisingly generous and balanced, with a fine lick of acids to sharpen the finish. Tasted September 2016.
