TASTING NOTE: Deep red-ruby. Musky red fruits, cinnamon and bitter chocolate on the nose. Then supple and sweet, but with lovely lift and verve to the fine-grained floral flavors of red cherries and sweet spices. Brisk acids keep the finish of this medium-bodied wine firm and refreshing. Smells and tastes similar to Castellani's Cinque Stelle Amarone. A blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Molinara, the grapes are air-dried for four months and aged for three years in used large oak barrels and barriques.
