LCBO Text Status A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection!
Corbières, the fourth-largest appellation in France, is known for the depth and generosity of the wines it produces. The region is blessed with incredibly diverse limestone, marl and slate soils and complex microclimates. To best take advantage of these terroirs, the area has been divided into 11 distinct growing regions. Arnaud Sié crafts this wine from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, and you can expect it to reflect the concentration and density the region is known for. Look for a wine with impressive structure and balance, tangy dark fruit, cassis, black pepper and underbrush tones and a food-friendly acidity. These are wines that can be cellared for 5-7 years after vintage. Price $ 16.95
