BEAUJOLAIS VILLAGES CLIMAT LE TRACOT 2015 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
JEAN-PAUL DUBOST |
Fairly deep purple colour. Slightly spicy, dusty, dried red apple peel nose. Very dry, medium-light bodied, tart, peppery, red apple peel flavours with a short, unoaked, faintly leesy finish. Has 12.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1602 on the front label. You can safely ignore the old tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue - it’s sure far from being superb today! |

TASTING NOTE: The 2015 Beaujolais Villages Climat Le Tracot underwent a semi-carbonic maceration for 15 days before maturation in vat. It has a lovely redcurrant and strawberry pastille bouquet that has wonderful definition and primal exuberance. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, very well structured with fine, almost chalky tannin. Quite simply, this is a Beaujolais Villages equal to a majority of village cru Beaujolais. Superb. Score - 90 (Neal Martin, robertparker.com, Aug. 30, 2016) |
