| Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, Damson plum nose with some cassis-cedar notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, well structured, faintly minty, intense, rather juicy, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, cedar-vanilla finish with very good acidity. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 181W2 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. A consistent best buy and one of my favourite Aussie reds at Vintages. TONY ASPLER / 90-points / BEST BUY - Cedary, creamy blackberry nose with a herbal note; medium to full-bodied, dry, flavours of blackberries and dried herbs. Firm structure. The recommended best buy 2012 (***) was released on November 26, 2016 at $22.95. |
