VINEYARDS GRAN MASCOTA MALBEC 2014 Uco Valley, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MASCOTA
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry nose with lots of sandalwood-cedar notes plus a touch of herb. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, fairly dense, slightly spicy, baked cherry-plum flavours with a lingering, cedary, fairly high acid finish. Hefty - a good match for a rib steak. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17201 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BEST BUY - Somewhat subdued cedary nose of red berry fruit; full-bodied and more expressive on the palate; firmly structured, juicy with lively acidity and a firm tannic finish, CSPC 443333
