Bright extremely pale straw colour. Shy, slightly spicy, floral, faintly honeyed, melon-apple nose. Fairly dry, medium-light to light bodied, somewhat spicy, faintly honeyed, tangy, melon-apple puree flavours with a crisp unoaked finish. Ready-to-drink. PB stands fro Pansa-Blanca, Catalonian for Xarel-lo. It has 12% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-PB1 on the back label with a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 88-points / BEST BUY - Citrus and apricot nose with a thread of mineralty; medium-bodied, dry, slightly oily (Marsanne-like), melon and apricot flavours with balancing acidity. TASTING NOTE: Green-tinged straw. Musky, sharply focused citrus pith and pear skin aromas are complemented by suggestions of pungent herbs and ginger. Dry and nervy on the palate, offering bitter lemon and green apple flavors that deepen and spread out slowly on the back half. Closes taut and slightly hard, delivering firm mineral bite and lingering citrus fruit character. Pans Blanca is a regional name for Xara-lo. Drinking window: 2017-2020.
