CHABLIS 2015 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer J. MOREAU & FILS
Bright light yellow colour. Slightly spicy, cooked apple nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, slightly cooked apple-lemon flavours with a somewhat tart, chalky, mineral-tinged finish. This Third REPEAT has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with NEW lot number L1727901 on the capsule. I gave this batch 87.5-points - perhaps 88-points. An OK Chablis, but not a detour. The 2015 (**) was last released on August 5, 2017 at $22.95. CSPC 466144

TASTING NOTE: This is nicely balanced, fresh, compact and elegant young Chablis, showing fairly generous, quite ripe apple/pear fruit. No oak here, just the complexities of some ageing on lees. It's medium weight with some sense of richness, but subtle flavours. The length is very good to excellent. Tasted August 2016. Score - 89 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Aug. 26, 2016) Price $ 22.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
