RABL KITTMANSBERG GRÜNER VELTLINER 2016 DAC Kamptal
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer RABL
Mature bright light yellow colour. Intense, gently honeyed, spicy, rich, ripe melon-apple nose with some mineral-tinged, floral notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, intense, tangy, ripe lemon-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, crisp, unoaked, mineral-tinged finish. Quite ready-to-drink and best with seafood. This is the 4th vintage to appear at Vintages and is the best on record - a terrific buy at the price. A perfect by-the-glass wine for licensees. Has 12.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number DAC-LN13298/16 on the back label and a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / BEST BUY / 90 points - Deep straw in colour; minerally-stony nose of green plum and white pepper nose; medium-bodied, crisply dry, citrus, green apple and green plum flavours; racy on the palate with a lovely mouth-feel and beautifully balanced.
