TASTING NOTE: Viña Vilano is a cooperative founded in 1957. At the time, the partners already had many of the old vineyards that still account for a portion of their 740 acres in Pedrosa del Duero. A selection of the old vines goes to this Legón. The intensity of tannins may be hard to take without grilled meat nearby. The meat would also reveal the fresh red fruit flavors that hide in the background in this tight Ribera. This should gain in complexity and charm with bottle age.
