Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, red licorice nose with some complex, very faintly leafy, cedary, ripe plum puree notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, harmonious, well balanced, intense, ripe plum flavours with a harmonious, lingering, licorice-tinged, fairly high acid finish. This NEW blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. There are 29 cases available. TONY ASPLER / 90-points / BEST BUY - Cedary, spicy, blackcurrant nose with vanilla oak notes; medium to full-bodied, dry, savoury, blackcurrant flavour; elegant, richly extracted and firm. TASTING NOTE: The oak is quite marked on this blend of predominantly Cabernet Franc with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, produced from Darling and Franschhoek fruit.
