PREMIUM RÉSERVE BRUT CHAMPAGNE AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHARLES MIGNON
Bright pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, toasty, lemon-apple nose with some mineral notes. Very dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, tangy, initially somewhat muted, apple-lemon flavours with a very crisp, unoaked, very effervescent finish with some faint bitter red apple notes on the finish. Improves with breathing! This blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay has 12% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Minerally, apple skin nose with a nutty note; medium-bodied, crisply dry lemon and apple flavours; nicely balanced with good length but rather bitter on the finish. TASTING NOTE: (75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay; lot 1C22318H119): Vivid yellow-gold. Ripe citrus fruits, honey, ginger and a hint of smokiness on the deeply perfumed nose. Sappy and seamless on the palate, offering juicy orange and yellow apple flavors and a hint of fresh fig. In a fruity, open-knit style, finishing with good breadth and cling and slow-building spiciness. Quite generous, even opulent for a no-dosage Champagne, with the heft, power and depth to work with rich foods. Score - 90 (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Jan. 2015) Price $ 48.75
