Deep purple red colour. Spicy, cedary, plum-cherry-raspberry nose. Fairly dry, medium bodied, juicy, jammy, fruity, black cherry flavours with a spicy, cedary finish and some herbal, cucumber-dill notes. This entry-level, off dry, overpriced Zin has 13.5% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L060614 on the lower part of the glass bottle. A REPEAT of the 2012 (*+) with 86-points that was last released on May 16, 2015 at $18.95. Meanwhile, the 2013 (*+) was released on March 19, 2016 at $19.95. Don’t ask my why Vintages is bringing this 2012 back. TONY ASPLER / 87-points - Mature, leather and stewed plum on the nose with oak notes; medium to full-bodied, sweetish, raisiny-plum flavour with a firm finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Run by the Hope family, Liberty School is a popular institution among Vintages customers. This Zin is fruit-forward with sweet blackberry, mulberry, plum, autumn leaves and a gently toasty note. Enjoy with blackberry glazed pork tenderloin. (Vintages panel, May 2017) |
