TASTING NOTE: The 2012 Tinto Quinta do Valdoeiro is approximately a 50/40 blend of Baga and Syrah, plus about 10% combined of Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon. Refined, with a bit of velvet for texture, this has nice structure for a value wine, a refined feel and good focus. The acidity gives this a refreshing demeanor and delivers the flavor to the palate. This is a nice overachiever that delivers some bang for the buck. Drink date: 2016-2026. Score - 90 (Mark Squires, robertparker.com, Oct. 28, 2016) |
