BAROLO 2013 DOCG
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LA PIEVE
Ambering medium brick red colour. Attractive, maturing, ripe plum-cherry nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, intense, maturing, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, somewhat earthy, sandalwood-tinged, fairly high acid finish. I strongly suggest that you do not taste this with an ISO glass. This fine Barolo has 14.5% alcohol and only 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17-132 on the back label. The recommended 2012 (***) with 92-points was released on January 21, 2017 at $34.95. CSPC 213132
