CUVÉE JOSEPH TALMARD |
Bright very light yellow colour. Mature, faintly cedary, baked lemon-apple nose with some nutty mineral-tinged notes. Dry, medium bodied, spicy, fairly tangy, harmonious, ripe lemon-apple flavours with a crisp, faintly toasty finish. Very decent value and quite ready-to-drink. Has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: Gérald Talmard crafts this cuvée to honour the estate's founder, his grandfather Joseph. This is floral (think white meadow flowers), lively and crisp with impressive pear and citrus throughout. There's a hint of baking spice that adds a delightful little extra. This will be an excellent match for herbed roast chicken and cauliflower purée. (Vintages panel, April 2017) |
