ALTENBOURG GEWURZTRAMINER 2016 AC Alsace
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ANDRÉ BLANCK & FILS
Bright very light yellow colour. Intense, sweet, very ripe lychee nose. Sweet, medium bodied, quite well structured, intense, very spicy, ripe apple-melon-lychee flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp finish. At peak. Serve with curry and/or spicy Thai dishes or even as a dessert wine - perhaps with cheese. Ready-to-drink and really terrific value (at least if you like this style). Has 13.5% alcohol and 29 g/L residual sugar. The recommended 2015 (***) with 90-points was released on October 29, 2016 at $19.95. CSPC 168906
