TASTING NOTE: Let's get the disclaimer out of the way. I first saw him play 'round about 1985 at the Terrapin Tavern in Kingston before the record deals and Juno awards, and I've admired his music since. Jim Cuddy, solo artist and Blue Rodeo lead singer, became a wine lover somewhere on the road from beer halls to the concert stage and has recently headlined shows at Tawse winery in Niagara. He's got a good thing going with this collaboration, a barrel aged white that's medium-bodied and bright with a treble note of refreshing acidity. Ripe orchard fruit plays harmony with well-handled, toasty oak and a happy note of popcorn. Score - 90 (Beppi Crosariol, The Globe and Mail, July 14, 2016) Price $ 24.95
