FOLIE À DEUX |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, gently complex, ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry flavours with a tangy, crancherry-cedar finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L141512-6 on the back label. Much better than the 2012 (*+/**) released on May 2, 2015 at $24.95. |

TASTING NOTE: This is a succulent and structured wine that's priced fairly and a crowd-pleaser to boot, a blend of grenadine, raspberry and currant that's soft and smooth on the palate with a restrained use of oak. Editors' Choice. Score - 90 (Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, July 1, 2016) |
