PASSATEMPO 2016 IGT Rosso Veneto |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
FEUDI SAN PIO |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Complex, intense, slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry nose with some reductive sandalwood-cedar notes. Very dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, baked, intense, somewhat tangy, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, high acid, mocha-chocolate-sandalwood finish. Great with tomato-based pasta dishes. Has 14% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17243 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: Here's a wine that's big on flavour, but not on price. It's youthful and vivid with incense, cherry, plum and fig aromas and flavours. There's a robust, mouthfilling quality, yet it's also got litheness and lift. Enjoy with meat or cheese ravioli, or an Asiago risotto. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2017) |
