Deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, gently herbal, ripe plum-apple nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, crisp, sandalwood-tinged finish. This straightforward blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 87-points - Cedary, spicy plum with herbal notes; full-bodied, dry with sour cherry and red plum flavours and a tannic finish. TASTING NOTE: A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, this youthful Bordeaux shows brambly wild currants, plum, graphite and woodsmoke wrapped in a bright ribbon of acidity. Excellent value. Decant for a half-hour or so to let it express its potential, and enjoy now through 2023 with bison burgers, mushroom stew or firmer cheeses.
