Bright extremely pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, gently honeyed, complex, slightly reductive, apple-lemon nose with just a faint hint of grassiness. Fairly dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, ripe melon-apple flavours with a crisp, unoaked, slightly grassy finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. TASTING NOTE: From the iconic Hess Family Wine Estates, this is sourced from sites planted in both gravelly and volcanic soils. Impressive Sauvignon character on the nose and palate. Grassy, with gooseberry, grapefruit, passion fruit and lemon aromas and flavours. This has some weight on the palate and a soft, creamy mouthfeel. Enjoy with goat cheese, or grilled fish or shrimp.
