Bright light yellow colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, very cedary, ripe lemon-melon puree nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, expansive, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, mineral-tinged, very cedary finish. Has 14.2% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Not up to the recommended much less oaky 2013 (**+) with 89-points released on April 2, 2016 at $29.95. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points - Toasty, smoky, barnyard caramel nose with spicy vanilla oak notes; full-bodied, oak-driven flavours of lemon, apple and pear with spicy vanilla oak. A pass at the price. |

TASTING NOTE: Very good chardonnay from Sonoma and more precisely from the Russian River Valley. Lemony, rich and tense in mouth, with a note of pastry cream that is not over the top. The oak is noticeable but well integrated. Score - 89 (Marc Chapleau, winealign.com, June 2, 2017) |
