TASTING NOTE: The classic South African white wine, Chenin Blanc (once known as Steen), is a native of the Loire Valley. Few places outside of France, South Africa principal among them, can produce premium-quality examples. This one suggests white blossom floral tones with ripe peach, tropical fruit and a spicy underpinning. If you're looking for a crisp, mouthwatering, fun white wine to pair with shrimp, crab or pork chops, this wine is your one-stop shopping spree. (Vintages panel, June 2017) |
