LA ROCHE VINEUSE MÂCON 2015 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
TERRES SECRÈTES |
Forward very light yellow colour. Spicy, baked apple-lemon nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, tangy, fairly ripe, apple-lemon flavours with a crisp, unoaked finish. Quite ready-to-drink. An OK acceptably-priced, ready-to-drink Macon. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. For my taste, I would go with my preferred, higher scoring BOUCHARD PÈRE & FILS MACON-LUGNY SAINT-PIERRE 2016 at $18.50 (LCBO 51573). |

TASTING NOTE: This wine is tight, textured and still young. With crisp, mineral acidity and bright citrus and white stone fruits, it needs to age to show its full, rich potential. Drink from 2018. Score - 89 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, June 1, 2017) |
