GUEGUEN |
Bright medium straw colour. Somewhat shy, mineral-tinged, faintly spicy, lemon-apple nose with some slight grassy notes. Very dry, medium to medium-light bodied, very spicy, dried lemon-apple flavours with a mineral-tinged, high acid finish. Not a detour at the price. Best with seafood. Has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number LCHA15C717 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Minerally, apple and dried leaves on the nose; medium-bodied, crisply dry and firm with a lemony finish. A touch bitter on the end taste. Not a detour at the price. |

TASTING NOTE: This comes from vines in Chichée on the warm right bank of the Serein River. It is a ripe wine, full of rich apricot and lime fruits and a straight line of acidity that gives the Chablis a crisp texture. The aftertaste is lively and the wine is ready to drink. Score - 90 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 31, 2016) |
