Bright extremely pale straw colour. Spicy, honeyed, sweet, melon-apple puree nose. Off dry, medium-light bodied, very spicy, honeyed, bake apple-lemon puree flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid finish. Ready-to-drink. Try well chilled with spicy Asian cuisine. This entry level blend of 85% Vidal and 15% Chardonnay has 12.2% alcohol and 13.4 g/L residual sugar with lot number 20160527 and a screwcap closure. Only 236 cases were made and it has been selling for $13.10 at the winery. Gold Medal winner at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition 2017. TASTING NOTE: This ripe blend of 85% Vidal and 15% Chardonnay opens with a lovely aroma of roses. The lemon and peach are very ripe, almost sweet, and the acidity is bright and refreshing. This has some warmth on the close, which is long and dry. Try with lemon baked cod.
