Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer JOHN'S BLEND
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, ripe baked plum-cherry nose with some herbal, very faintly soapy, cedar-sandalwood notes. Fairly dry, medium-full bodied, fairly dense, well structured, still youthful, red and black cherry flavours with a lingering, cedary, high acid finish. Quite grippy - needs time. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L6161 on the lower part of the glass bottle. The recommended 2012 (***) was released on May 28, 2016 at $39.95. CSPC 927640

This wine is consistently powerful, rich and intense, with dark fruit, chocolate, eucalyptus and mint notes. Pour it with mutton chops in a cocoa-and-coffee rub. Price $ 39.95
