Extremely deep intense purple colour. Fairly complex, gently cedary, ripe plum nose with some rhubarb notes. Dry, medium bodied, bright, spicy, very ripe plum-cherry-apple flavours with a very crisp finish. This blend of 65% Monastrell, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Tintorera has 14.5% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-5711 on the back label. The Solanera Viņas Viejas is crafted from hand-harvested grapes. It's composed of 65% Monastrell, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Tintorera and was aged in 80% French and 20% American oak. The resulting wine will be rich and dense, with excellent clarity to the dark fruit tones. This will be at its best now through 2020+. Price $ 18.95
