Extremely deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, ripe baked apple-plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes with a distractive reductive rubber hose note. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, cedary, spicy, baked plum-cherry-apple flavours with a lingering, cedary, high acid finish. Tasted once. This 100% Monastrell has 15% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L7219 on the back label. The 2012 (**) was released on September 3, 2016 at $13.95. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points - Spicy, cedary plum nose; full-bodied, dry, plum and white pepper flavours; fruity and firm with a chunky mouth-feel. |
