Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ASCHERI
Ambering brick colour. Slightly spicy, dried plum-cherry nose with some sandalwood-notes. Dry, medium bodied, somewhat dusty, sandalwood-tinged, dried plum-apple flavours with a very crisp, slightly dusty finish. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number LH02 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 89-points - Spicy, cedary nose of dried cherries; medium-bodied, dry, sour cherry flavour lean and sinewy with lively acidity and a firm structure. Still tight needs 3 -4 years. TASTING NOTE: Licorice, cherry and tar notes mark this intense, chewy red, packed with sweet fruit mid palate that offsets the dense, dusty tannins. Shows fine integration and length, with the aftertaste echoing licorice, cherry, tar and mineral details. Best from 2019 through 2035. Highly Recommended.
