GASSIER |
Extremely deep purple colour. Spicy, juicy, ripe plum purée nose with some cedar notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, ripe plum puree flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, cedar-vanilla-tinged finish. Ready-to-drink. This new blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah has 15% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number 7195 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points - Cedary plum nose with dried herbes de Provence notes; medium to full-bodied, sweet blackberry and dark chocolate flavours. Firmly structured. A commercial crowd-pleaser. |

This wine, created by Michel Gassier (of Château de Nages) and the brilliant winemaker Philippe Cambie, is named for the king of the gods. Look for a floral wine that puts an emphasis on clarity and depth, with ripe dark fruit, smoke and spice. Always a hit, and a great value. |
