CUVÉE LES TROIS SOEURS CÔTES DU RHÔNE 2015 AP |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
DOMAINE LES GRANDS BOIS |
Very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, juicy, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, ripe plum-raspberry puree flavours with a lingering, crisp, cedar finish. It’s quite tasty, zesty and ready-to-drink, however this batch is not quite my style This blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan has 14.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Cedary, spicy plum and vanilla oak on the nose; medium-bodied, dry, fruity and firm with a tannic flourish on the finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Made from 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan, the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Cuvee les Trois Soeurs is the largest production cuvee and is a year in, year out value that's a no-brainer. Notes of black raspberries, cassis and spice all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, charming, elegant and polished red that has no hard edges and a supple finish. It's perfect for drinking over the coming 4-5 years. Drink Date: 2016-2021. Score -90 (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, Dec. 30, 2016) |
