Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, stewed plum-apple nose with some herbal, clove-wintergreen-cedar notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, solid, slightly tart, herbal, plum-apple-cherry flavours with a somewhat cedary, fairly dense, high acid, faintly bitter finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L7229 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 88-points / BUY - Cedary, blackcurrant nose with a floral top note; medium to full-bodied, dry, blackcurrant and redcurrant flavours with zesty acidity and creamy oak flavours finishing firmly. |
