TASTING NOTE: Emma Garner took home Winemaker of the Year honours at the 2015 Ontario Wine Awards, so you know she was at the top of her game when she made this wine. A blend of 75% Cab Franc with dollops of Merlot and Cab Sauvignon, this beauty shows complex notes of dark cherry, ripe raspberry, fig, Christmas cake, vanilla and cocoa powder. The finish is long and layered. Enjoy it tonight through 2024 with tourtière. (Vintages panel, Oct. 2017) |
