CONCRETO MALBEC 2015 Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ZUCCARDI
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, herbal, dried plum-apple nose with lots of garrigue notes. Very dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, somewhat herbal, dusty, plum-apple flavours with a very crisp finish. Fermented and aged in concrete tanks, this seemed to lack phenolic ripeness and, for my taste, is vastly overpriced. Has 13.9% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER /87.5 -points - Ccedary, green herbs and red berry fruit on the nose with spicy oak notes; medium-bodied, dry but lacking the intensity of fruit of the previous 2014 vintage. CSPC 455774
