ZACCAGNINI |
Bright medium straw colour. Attractive, fairly intense, ripe, faintly honeyed, spicy, ripe orange citrus nose - shades of Chenin Blanc and/or Semillon. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, ripe citrus flavours with a lingering, apricot-apple-yellow grapefruit-tinged, fairly high acid, unoaked finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17917A on the back label. Screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Spicy, ripe peach nose with a thread of minerality; medium-bodied, dry, richly extracted and thick on the palate, coming on like an ageing Hunter Valley Semillon. |

TASTING NOTE: This is hand-harvested and aged in stainless steel to preserve the delicate aromatics. Unquestionably perfumed, this is zesty and juicy, with apple, grapefruit and a touch of residual sugar. This will be a great sipper, or will pair well with hors d'oeuvres, or with white fish for a main course. (Vintages panel, May 2017) |
