TASTING NOTE: Situated at the edge of Niagara nearest Toronto, Peninsula Ridge grows this Chardonnay in its estate vineyards. The wine shows a complex interplay of baked apple, citrus, peach and pineapple underscored by notions of vanilla and banana cream pie, all wrapped in a creamy texture. It'll make a delicious pairing for crab cakes, or acorn squash gnocchi with a beurre blanc sauce. (Vintages panel, July 2017) |
