| Pale light brick red colour. Slightly spicy, honeyed, sweet, baked cherry nose. Sweet, medium bodied, smooth, spicy, honeyed, harmonious, cherry puree flavours with a lingering, bright, maple syrup-tinged finish. This icewine is ready-to-drink and has 10% alcohol and 222 g/L residual sugar. Tasty but not bargain-priced! |

| TASTING NOTE: John Rasenberg and his wife, Sue Ann, chose the name Dark Horse in part for their love of horses and in part for their appreciation of the outsider. This rich, vibrant Cab Franc Icewine offers notions of strawberry preserves and sweet spices. The producers suggest pairing it with vanilla bean ice cream or dark chocolate, or sipping it as a dessert unto itself. It'll also be lovely with soft and blue cheeses. (Vintages panel, April 2017) |
