RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY RESERVE CHARDONNAY 2014 Russian River Valley, Sonoma County |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
RODNEY STRONG |
Bright light yellow colour. Cedary, bright, intense, lemon meringue nose with lots of toasty notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, rich albeit harmonious, well structured, spicy, intense, very attractive, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, still crisp, fairly toasty, gently cedary, key lime pie finish. This is showing beautifully at the moment and is my top value California Chard of the release! Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with a lively 6.3 g/L total acidity The recommended best buy 2013 (***) with 93-points was released on June 25, 2016 at $45.95. |
