RIPASSO VALPOLICELLA SUPERIORE 2014 DOC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
MONTE ZOVO |
Deep intense purple colour. Very slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Slightly off dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, very ripe, baked plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid finish. This blend of 70% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, and 10% Molinara has 14.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with lot number L18617 on the lower part of the glass bottle. A ready-to-drink crowd-pleaser. |

TASTING NOTE: This blend of 70% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, and 10% Molinara is crafted in a graceful style that delivers impressive character. There are impressive notes of tar, anise, and plum jam alongside the maturing fruit notes and earthy undertones. Enjoy with a lamb stew, or with roast beef dinner with all the fixings.
