TASTING NOTE: The 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano shows a pretty garnet color with a good level of saturation that never goes over the top. The wine offers grit and determination without feeling heavy or flat. The fact that the acidic component is so well integrated gives this Vino Nobile an edge above the rest. The wine offers bright energy and tension as well. This well priced wine is a blend of 90% Sangiovese with smaller parts Merlot, Colorino and Canaille aged in oak for 18 months. Drink Date: 2015-2024. Score - 90 (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Oct. 29, 2015) |
