DOMAINE QUEYLUS |
Medium deep red colour. Attractive, bright, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some slightly spicy, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, still youthful, ripe plum-crancherry flavours with a very crisp, slightly cedary, lingering, fairly high acid albeit faintly bitter finish. Has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 90-points / BUY - Cedary, spicy, smoky, cherry bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, Burgundian-style; firmly structured, red cherry flavour with ripe tannins and good length. |

TASTING NOTE: [Translated} The red cherry stands out on the nose, with spicy notes and a dried orange sprig. Balanced, relatively complex, with tannins well present, maybe a bit drying, at this stage. Score - 89 (Rémy Charest, winealign.com, August 1, 2017) |
