NOMAD WANDERLOVE 2013 VQA Niagara Lakeshore
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer HINTERBROOK
Deep intense purple colour. Intense, very herbal, peppery, cedary nose. Very dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, cedary, slightly spicy, baked plum flavours with lots of herbal notes on the lingering, somewhat tart finish. Not my style, hopefully it will improve. Has 13.8% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Spicy, green pepper, red currant nose with evident oak; medium-bodied, dry, firmly structured. CSPC 519934

TASTING NOTE: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot were aged for nearly three years in French oak prior to this wine's bottling. There's a notable vanilla/spice/mocha aromatic component that tips the hat to the wood, along with core blueberry, plum and cassis notes. On the medium-plus bodied palate the oak is a bit less evident, and the wine leans more on blackberry, dark chocolate, plum and blackcurrant notes, with a modest leafy component and light tannin coming through on the medium finish.
