Fairly deep intense purple colour. Plum-cherry nose with some herbal-mulberry cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly tart, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, crisp, slightly tight, somewhat bitter finish. This blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L6.30F on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. TASTING NOTE: The 2013 The Scribbler Cabernet Shiraz opens with expressive cassis, eucalyptus, dark chocolate and mulberry notes, over aromas of some pencil shavings and baking spices. A blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz, the wine has a medium body and good structure. This blend is firm, grainy and muscular, with great length.
